PiiI

Catch PII before you hit send.

PiiI sits between you and the send button on your AI chat sites. It finds the personal data in your prompt — names, emails, phone numbers, IDs, card numbers — and offers to mask each one before the message leaves your browser.

Everything runs on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no telemetry. The only network request PiiI ever makes is the one-time download of its detection model on first use; after that it works offline.

What it looks for

Attachments are scanned too — .txt, .csv, .md, .log, .json, .docx and .pdf.

Requirements

Chrome 120 or later. The first run downloads a ~300 MB detection model once; until it finishes, pattern-based detection still works but names and addresses will not be found.

Install

PiiI is published on the Chrome Web Store.
